At university, Jesse Somer studied environmental science, driven by an early desire to honour the natural world. He found that much of his coursework focused on sourcing materials, while he wanted to speak more broadly about sustainability and conservation. He turned to writing as a way to advocate for nature and give environmental change a voice. Today, Jesse brings those threads together through sustainable manufacturing: helping turn ideas into real products while considering their materials and environmental impact. By connecting intention with practical action, he feels he has found his calling—and is happy doing work that can make a tangible difference. Jesse is an American-born Australian and global citizen with deep knowledge of manufacturing. He brings creative minds and factories together to help reveal an idea’s true character. Alongside brilliant collaborators who are always willing to go the extra mile, he helps make that magic happen.
